Why the Switch From EurOz to Focus Driver?

When EurOz Driver Performance was founded by former European and British race driver and kart champ Oliver Myers back in 2016, the objective was to form a company that would introduce a holistic approach to driver performance and preparation in Australia.

To connect its founder and then director Oliver Myers’ European roots with his vision to innovate race driver coaching in Australia, the company decided on the name EurOz Driver Performance.

After its inception in 2016, the company grew significantly in size and scope. Over the last half-decade, EurOz Driver Performance had evolved from a mainly simulator-driven business model into a truly holistic driver performance centre that not only delivered world-class quality race driver coaching but also incorporated fitness testing, psychology, and cognitive development into training.

Thus, are branding to Focus Driver Performance.

FocusDriver Performance holds the distinction of being the only driver performance centre in Australia to offer an all-encompassing training program for motorsport drivers - one that integrates every element of human performance into motorsport.

Combining two professional simulators with top-quality athletic fitness testing and analysis equipment as well as military-grade neural and motor pattern tracking in addition to cognitive development technology, it provides elite race driving skill training while also optimising the driver’s physical and mental faculties.

With his focus now firmly on Australian operations, it made sense for Director OliverMyers to rebrand EurOz into Focus Driver Performance. Other factors contributed to this shift, including the fact that the business ceased its European operations following theUK's split from the European Union.

On top of that, Myers has fully embraced his permanent resident status in Australia and is now looking forward to becoming an Aussie citizen.

The company’s operations are now entirely based in Australia, with all its facilities, coaches, and trainers housed in its performance centre located inSydney Motorsport Park.

Naturally, the rebranding process entailed a change of the official logo and the creation of a new website (those visiting the old EurOz website will be automatically directed to the new URL).

The logo change provided an excellent opportunity for highlighting the new direction the business was heading in. While the original EurOz logo was mostly font-driven, the Focus Driver Performance logo is a racing helmet that blends the letter F and a human figure with a connection of synapses.

The logo perfectly sums up what Focus Driver Performance is all about – to train race drivers in all aspects, from their driving skills to their physical and psychological conditioning and mental acuity. The company’s vision is to help drivers achieve success on the world stage.

Having already coached several Australian race drivers to victory, Focus DriverPerformance is committed to helping more race drivers become the best versions of themselves.
