Jayden Ojeda is a young Australian racing driver who is looking to build upon his extensive success in elite level Karting and Open Wheel racing (Formula Ford and Formula 4) to continue his development in Supercar racing.
Jayden started racing karts at the age of 7. He has never looked back!
Jayden’s first major championship win came in karting in 2010 winning the NSW State Championship. He then went on to win 2 more State Championships in 2013 and another 2 in 2014.
At 15 Jayden achieved the ultimate success in Australia’s premier Karting series, crowned Australian Champion in CIK in 2014 taking the overall victory in the Rotax Pro Tour (Junior Max) and the CIK Stars of Karting Championship (KF3).
Jayden went on to represent Australia at the 2014 Rotax Max World Championships Grand Finals in Spain.
In 2014 Jayden was recognised as the Number 1 Junior Driver in Australia by AutoAction magazine and was identified by CAMS as an up and coming driver. He was part of the CAMS Elite Driver Program in 2014, 2015, 2016 and again in 2018.
In 2015 Jayden traded the kart for a Borland Racing prepared Formula Ford Spectrum. Competing in the Victorian State Formula Ford Championship, where he had his first race win and several pole positions and podium finishes.
2016 saw Jayden step up to compete in the National Formula Ford Series where he had several pole positions and race wins and finished the championship in 4th position. Jayden competed again in the National Formula Ford Series in 2017, with several race wins, coming home on the podium for an overall 3rd in the National Championship.
Jayden completed his Formula Ford journey with over 20 podiums to his name over the last few seasons, along with a number of wins, pole positions and fastest laps. He still holds the Formula Ford lap record at Winton Raceway.
In 2018 Jayden competed in the World’s Premier Open -wheel development category across the globe, Formula 4, in the Australian F4 Championship.
Jayden became the most dominant driver to have competed in the Australian Formula 4 Championship in its history, winning the 2018 Championship by 58 points and setting several championship series records.
2019 saw Jayden make the big step up, competing in the Supercars Super3 Series with Anderson Motorsport, switching from open wheeler Formula cars to high horsepower Australian V8 SuperCars.
This was Jayden’s most challenging year yet, competing against the likes of Supercar teams Brad Jones Racing (BJR), Matt Stone Racing (MSR) and 2019 Super2 Champions Matt White Motorsport (MWM), as well as Ex-Supercar team Paul Morris Racing.
Jayden came in a close 2nd Place overall in the 2019 Super3 Championship winning 4 races, and 3 of the 5 rounds.
In 2020 Jayden has again stepped up, now competing in the Super2 Series in 2020, with Super2 Championship team Matt White Motorsport (MWM).
The Dunlop Super2 Series is Australia’s #1 Support Category that features at six events of the most-watched category of racing in Australasia, the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
Super2 is seen as the second tier of Supercar racing in Australia only behind the Supercars. Super 2 is the breeding grounds for Supercar champions, starting back in 2000.
Jayden remains focused on a career in motor racing and progressing into the International arena or the Australian Supercars Championship.
He also works as a Corporate Driver and Coach at Anglo Racing Academy, and Driver Coach and Engineer at Anglo Motorsport and numerous other Formula Ford teams for both the National & NSW State Formula Ford Series. Jayden also works as a Simulator Driver Coach at EurOz Driver Performance & Development Centre as well as a Freelance Driver Coach.
